Foscarini lighting – Aplomb Large Suspension Light

The Aplomb large suspension light is the new LED version of the original contemporary suspension light that intricately celebrates the raw and highly textured appeal of concrete that is of up and coming popularity. It features three varying finishes of luxury designer lighting to complement contemporary trends including a raw and original grey version with a black ceiling rose, warm brown with a black ceiling rose or warm white with a white ceiling rose.

History of Foscarini lighting

Foscarini has a special personality in the world of lighting. The company collaborates with skilled designers all over the world, which help develop ideas and produce more than just you're average lamp. Foscarini first came about by setting up on Murano island in Venice in 1981, where their first collection was designed, and shortly after this the first Foscarini lamp was created; made of industrial glass. The company has grown as well as it's ideas, forms and materials since the 90's which means many launches, awards and partnerships have blossomed; and now run by designer Carlo Urbinati.

Diesel with Foscarini

In 2009 Italian lighting brand Foscarini signed a partnership agreement with Diesel as part of the "Home Collection" home furnishings and lifestyle project. This partnership opened up a whole new type of style for Foscarini, they can now supply many types of lamps under genres such as rock, pop, industrial design, vintage and art. Diesel have worked with Foscarini to create over 40 types of lamp models all from various materials. These materials used are very unique in the lighting industry from denim to steel.

There is a public out there in love with the Diesel mood and desirous to have it in their homes, as well as their clothes, with products that recount its style” – Carlo Urbinati, Chairman and co-founder of Foscarini.

The Tool floor lamp is a staff favourite as it's a very dark piece, that emits a great amount of light. In addition it appears like a camera lens which is a great design feature. The Rock suspension light is another favourite - a unique shade with fractured facets. The outside of the light is mysterious contrasting nicely with the diamond-bright and iridescent inside. However, keen to keep our studio fresh and are constantly changing which lights we feature, so we're looking to put this into a good home. The floor lamp version is on sale with a 20% discount. Diesel wanted to create lights that were out there. Hard as metal, soft as fabric, slim as a luminous cage, shiny as chrome-plated glass, but always unique and different: Successful Living from Diesel with Foscarini.

This Cage Lamp is made from lacquered blown glass, coated steel and chromed metal which overall creates this bold statement lamp that would look incredible in an all white hallway; for an industrial vibe or even in a bright modern office or lounge. A personal favourite; how the masculine frame contrasts with the blown glass diffuser.
