The year 1978 was a big deal for Flou, as it was the year the company was founded and where they had the objective of creating a new type of 'sleep culture'. Flou designed more than 50 bed models which have been crafted by high-quality skilled Italian designers. From single to king-size, from sofa-beds to studio couches, with many finishes from fabric, wood, leather, hide and various other materials. The whole collection is available in leading furniture stores in Italy, as well as showrooms in Milan and New York.
Flou's Angle bed - Luxurious enough? It's such a glorious statement piece for a dull bedroom, the two lamps either side add a practical touch and can be customised as well as the upholstery of the bed, to suit your style; which we think is a neat little touch.
Flou not only designs beds, but also accessories for bedrooms:
- Mattresses/mattress supports
- Cover Fabrics
- Duvet Covers available in a wide range of colours and patterns
- Armchairs and lamps, chest of draws, desks, mirrors and bookcases
The Ari bed - Designed by Emanuela Garbin and Mario Dell'Orto. The clean lines create a geometric masterpiece and with the added comfort of the padded and quilted headboard, it's a real winner. The feet and details of the joints are black chrome and the padded headboard comes in various materials such as fabric, ecopelle or leather to rejuvenate texture into your room.
The set of 2 draws on the left hand side are also apart of this collection, we think the uniqueness of the handles have character.
The GrandPiano - Quirky, riveting and original... just a couple of words to describe this bed, it will definitely make an impact in any bedroom. It's so innovative. The headboard is padded with "Memoform" which reacts with body pressure and warmth, adapting perfectly to the body's shape. The sunken mattress is in all the versions Grandpiano, Grandpiano Piano and the Piano Piano.
The shaped side panels can be used as seating or shelving. The image above displays the panels being used as side tables which can be completed with glass tops or hide trays, of which both look very contemporary.
