Abitalia South Coast is a contemporary interior design studio and furniture showroom in Poole, Dorset, serving clients across Dorset, Hampshire and the South Coast. Our studio presents a curated collection of Italian kitchens, luxury furniture and contemporary interiors, bringing together architecture, design and craftsmanship.
The name Abitalia is derived from two Italian words, abitare and Italia — to dwell or inhabit like the Italians. The idea was to capture the strong sense of design and culture that defines Italian living and apply it to the spaces we inhabit.
Founded in 2007, Abitalia developed a reputation for its passion for design and attention to detail. From the original design studio in Cheltenham, a South Coast presence was established in 2012.
In 2024 the studio moved to its current home — a carefully restored 3,000 sq ft Victorian warehouse in Poole. Inspired by the Boffi Via Solferino showroom in Milan, the space explores the relationship between furniture and architecture, presenting contemporary Italian design in a calm and considered environment.
Today Abitalia continues to work with private clients, developers and architects, delivering contemporary residential projects across the South Coast.

An initial discussion to understand the project and design brief. We will prepare a basic 3D design and layout, product schedule on a supply only basis. Our design fee is covered by the supply of goods.

We develop the 3D model in detail, provide photorealistic renders, a detailed project schedule, technical plans, elevations and cross sections for a third party contractor to install. Design fees apply

The whole process is delivered by our talented team of professionals. We provide dedicated project management and install your interior project with our in-house team of specialists. Every detail is carefully considered to realise your project. Design and project management fees apply

Luxury Interior Design in Sandbanks
Abitalia South Coast is a contemporary interior design studio and furniture showroom based in Poole, Dorset, working with clients across Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs and the South Coast. We specialise in luxury kitchens, Italian furniture, bespoke wardrobes and carefully curated interiors designed for modern coastal homes.
This contemporary interior project in Dorset combined architectural materials with leading Italian design brands including CEA Design, Antonio Lupi and Rimadesio. The brief was to create a refined living environment with carefully integrated bathrooms, wardrobes and furniture systems, with a limited pallet of materials.
Storage and wardrobe systems were realised using Rimadesio, whose glass and aluminium systems allow spaces to remain light and minimal while maintaining exceptional functionality.
